Sausages and mash from pauline

This is a new recipe that I tried today and it tasted yummy and wintery. You will need potatoes - I got baby new potatoes and nutty sweet potatoes (to see what they tasted like). You will also need some sausages, an onion and some butter.

Sausages and mash ingredients

- Put the potatoes in some water to boil. (If you have big potatoes slice them to speed up the process). Generally I keep the skins as most of the nutrients are in the skin, however I peeled the tough skins from the nutty sweet potatoes.

Boiling potatoes

- Boil the potatoes for 10-20 minutes depending on size. Either way make sure they are well cooked (by sticking a fork through them) as they will be much easier to mash. - Peel your onion and cut it into big chunks (slice it vertically but not horizontally).

Slice onion

- Put some butter in a pan and fry your onions on a medium heat for 15-20 minutes.

Fried onions

- Fry your sausages.

Fried sausages

- When your potatoes are cooked drain them. - Mash your potatoes, adding butter and a little milk. You can add as much butter as you desire, but remember the more butter the tastier but also the more calories!

Mashed sweet potato

- Serve and enjoy!
