Steak and green beans from pauline

I cook this when I want tasty meat and it is better value than eating out.

You will need steaks (fillets or sirloin), green beans and rice.

- Cook the rice. I steamed mine in a rice cooker. - Prepare your green beans. Chop the ends (mine were ready-trimmed) and wash them.

- Boil water in a pan - Heat a frying pan to medium / high heat. The secret is to use a high heat to sear the steaks which give them maximum flavour and juiciness. - Fry the steak for 3 minutes on one side (use a fork a couple of times to move it and make sure it is not burning)

- Boil the green beans for 3-4 minutes

- Turn the steak over and fry the other side for 3 minutes

- When the steak is cooked as desired (the times above will produce a medium/rare steak) put it on a plate for a few minutes before eating - this gives it a chance to get even more juicy and nice and tender. - I put a splash of water into the frying pan, move it around while it sizzles and pour this juice on the plate (if you add too much water by mistake do not use this as it will have no taste).

- Put some butter on the plate and on top add the rice and green beans. - Enjoy!
